Man, Chicken Run! I haven't seen this movie in forever! And with it's allstar cast of Mel Gibson and...well, Mel Gibson...This is a must see. Your kids will love it, you will love it, and if your parents or grandparents have seen the Great Escape (One of the greatest movies ever!) then they will love it. This is the animated Great Escape, without Bronson, McQueen or Garner.

A group of laying hens and one old rooster split their time between laying enough eggs to stay alive and trying to escape. Each escape proves as unsuccessful as the last, until an angel falls from the sky. Angel? We must be talking about Mel Gibson...and we are! Of course ol' Mel get's them back on track.

Whew, I almost pulled something talking about the movie that much! Back to my senseless, self serving, narcissistic ramblings! Is it wrong that I really could use some chicken wings after this? Anyway this movie is great! Great for kids and great for me! See this movie, it's worth a buy too. If you have kids this is a must in your collection...just sayin'. 4 stars. Don't have a good reason for not giving it 5 other than it just didn't feel right to do so. 4 stars, don't argue!

By the way stick around through the end for the credits, very deep discussion about which came first chicken or the egg? I say chicken...unless the big bang pooped out an egg too?
