Jackie Chan's character steals a jade Buddha from the Bank of London so he can return it too his village. As he's being chased by the police he ducks into a crazy inventors yard, and the only way to escape is with Phileas Fogg's help. He is hired as Fogg's valet, as no one else is crazy enough to do it. Fogg who is an outcast and is ridiculed by the Academy of Science takes a bet from the head of the Academy that he can circumnavigate the globe in 80 days.
Along the way they meet some very interesting people including a young pretty travel companion...let's face it no one wanted to look at Chan and Coogan for 2 hours...just sayin'.
This movie is riddled with cameos. A lot of stars in this one just for funsies. This isn't your normal Jackie Chan movie, not very many fight scenes, and the ones that there are really aren't that great.
Still, it's a fun movie. One you can watch with the whole family, and that's a plus. Not many movies are made for the whole family these days. And not many family movies are really family movies. But I digress. I would recommend this one, it's fun, funny in some parts, and some decent action. The cameos were all funny I thought, just my opinion. So I'd give this one like 3.2 stars. Definitely a movie for a Netflix family night. Good Times..
