Jewellery Infulences Many Films

Many films have jewellery in them and some are even based upon jewellery. These ones are just some of my favourites.

Titanic

Although this one really isn’t a big favourite of mine, it certainly made an impact on the world when it was first released.

The film itself is set around trasure hunters who are after a blue diamond known as the Heart of the Ocean.

Although they made up the story of the diamond it was actually made for the film costing a whopping £10,000.

At the moment it is sitting somwhere in the Fox studios. The film shows the treasure hunters eventually finding out that the owner was Rose, who then goes on to tell us the story of the titanic.

The well made Lord of the Rings

Although this is technically a collection of books, for me the film really showed of the obsession that could be had when it comes to a piece of jewellery. Gollum was the character that actually wanted it the most with the famous phrase “my precious” constantly being used as his way of describing the ring of power.

The ring was created by the dark lord Sauron many years before the books actually started and once he was killed the ring was then lost for a long period of time until Gollum found it and murdered his best friend over it.

The ring slowly turned Gollum from hobbit to animal over a period of 500 years which is when Bilbo Baggins got it from the creature and took it back the shire. This is where we come in.

The famous Indiana Jones

The brilliant Indiana Jones is of course famous for treasure hunting but does it for the benefit of the museum over himself~Of course everyone knows that The famous Indiana Jones is famous for his treasure hunting skills, however he does it for the museum~Although Indiana Jones is famous for his treasure hunting he always does it to take back to a museum of some kind,}. With four films already under his belt will Harrison Ford pick up the whip and hat for a fifth time? Let us just hope he isn’t taken over by the kid as that would suck.
